To All The Mums Who Feel Like They Just Can’t Mum Today

To All The Mums Who Feel Like They Just Can’t Mum Today

You’re not alone.

There’s plenty of us today that wake up up with a whole list of to-dos in our heads but can’t seem to drag our tired bodies out of bed even though you can hear trouble brewing outside. We feel your pain when you brush your teeth and all your can look at is that pile of laundry sitting in your overflowing basket. That sink that has unwashed dishes. The kids room that has toys strewn all over but you can’t bring yourself to ask (for the ten thousandth time) the boys to pack them up.

Find a quiet space. Take a deep breath.

We all have our days. Today is just one of them. You can still get the kids ready for school. Take the longer route and stop by the café for your favourite cappuccino instead of the usual 3-in-1. It’s ok if the family has a pizza night or just make a simple soup (we recommend the classic tonic brew - immunity boosting and nourishing, winning all around).

Take time for yourself to destress. Just breathe.

Find joy in a small things. Tackle a smaller load of laundry (don’t be ambitious). Get your kids to help you pack up their room and make it a fun game instead. Remember to pick up that nice smelling shampoo that would make you feel like a million bucks again. Take a long, hot  shower. Slow down.

Prime yourself for a good night’s rest. Wake up the next day and be all refreshed ready to kick some butt :)

Because mum, it’s ok to have days like this. Remember you’re awesome and you’ve got this.
